



Complete ResultsCambridge, Mass. - May 12, 2012 - Kevin Coyle captured the individual title in the long jump to highlight the Springfield College men's track and field teams performance at the All New England Championship at MIT over the weekend.
As a team, the Pride finished 18th in the competition with 14 points.
A week after winning the New England Division III long jump championship, Coyle jumped a distance of 24-2.25 to win the All New England title. Anthony Salvucci was the only other individual to place as he ran a time of 14:47.46 to finish seventh in the 1,500.
In the 4x800 relay, Ryan O'Connell, Nathan Pinciak, Salvucci, and Steven Gilfeather combined to run a 7:50.96 to take seventh .

Ken Klatka, just inducted into the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame in October, 2011, enters his 37th season as head coach of the men’s track and field program in 2012-2013. He ranks among the nation’s most successful coaches, with an overall record of 442 wins, 144 losses, and two ties for an impressive .753 winning percentage. Under his direction, Kevin Coyle '12 won the 2011 Division III Indoor Long Jump National Championship.
