



Complete ResultsHebron, Conn. -- September 11, 2011 -- The Springfield College men's golf team finished ninth of 11 teams in the Trinity Invitational golf tournament this past Saturday and Sunday. Thomas Sangeloty paced the Pride with a total of 158 strokes individually.
Trinity College, the host team, captured the tournament title with a score of 290-301=591. That was nine strokes better than Manhattanville College, which placed second with a score of 600 strokes even .
Amherst placed third at 611, followed by Western New England (617), Elms (620), Anna Maria (621), Babson (622), Nichols (634), Springfield (639), Wesleyan (659), and Worcester State (678).
Sangeloty finished in a tie for 26th among individuals with a score 79-79=158. Second best for the Pride was Chris Vincent, who placed in a tie for 35th with a 76-83=159. Up next was Ryne McEvoy, tied for 39th, at 81-79=160. In a tie for 46th was Alex Brown at 81-81=162. In 62nd place was Mike Nawakowski at 84-88=172. And in 63rd was Kyle DiFranco at 89-85=174.
Up next for the Springfield golf team is the Duke Nelson Invitational September 17-18 in Middlebury, Vt.
