



Complete ResultsWilliamstown, Mass. - November 7, 2009 - The Springfield College men's cross country team competed in the ECAC Championships in Williamstown, Mass. on Saturday and finished in 16th place out of 43 teams. Freshman Ryan O'Connell was the top runner on the day for the Pride, finishing in 37th place, and crossing the finish line in 28:01.9. Greg Redfield of Johnson & Whales won the race in a time of 26:11.2, and Williams took the overall team championship with 85 points.
For the Pride, senior Michael Decrescenzo finished in 70th place with a time of 28:34.7, and classmate John Devaney crossed the line in 29:11.7 for a 98th place finish. Freshman Nate Pinciak (29:31.8), and junior Matthew Genacopoulos (29:47.5) finished in 117th and 128th places respectively to round out the scoring for Springfield.
The Pride return to action next Saturday, November 14, when it runs in the NCAA Division III Regionals in Portland, Maine.
Bryan Brown will enter his third season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2013. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, is the reigning NEWMAC Coach of the Year after leading Springfield to its second-straight second-place finish at the conference championships a year ago .
