



Complete ResultsMedford, Mass. - February 11, 2013 - Several members of the Springfield College women's track and field team had tremendous showings in the Tufts Cupid Challenge, a non-scoring meet hosted on Monday afternoon.
The Pride's 4x400 relay team of Laurie Jenkins, Gabby Gaudreault, Jessica Miler, and Crystal Davis combined to run a time of 4:00.81, blazing past the competition. The time was the second-fastest relay time in New England this season.
Individually, Gaudreault would win the 800 after crossing in 2:17.13, which ranks her 14th fastest in the nation this year.
Also in the 60 meter dash, Jenkins took sixth with an 8.13, followed by Davis' seventh-place time of 8.18.
In the triple jump, Amanda Martin was the runner up after she totaled a leap of 37-02.50, which gives her the third-best distance in New England. Teammate Darian Dailey record a distance of 16-04.50 in the long jump to take fourth, followed by Martin's fifth-place jump of 16-04.25.
Colleen Brague also placed fifth in the weight throw with a toss of 42-04.25.
Jim Pennington enters his 29th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2012-2013. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
