



Complete BracketsGrantham, Penn. -- December 3, 2010 -- The Springfield College wrestling team is currently in second place of 13 teams in the Messiah College Petrofes Invitational. A total of seven Pride wrestlers have reached the semifinal stage with Saturday's competition still to come.
After one day, Springfield has accumulated 89 points, just 4.5 points behind leader Wilkes (93).
The rest of the team scores are as follows -- Mount Union (87.5), Messiah (84), Bridgewater (Va.) (58), McDaniel (57), Lycoming (55.5), Ursinus (53.5), Johns Hopkins (52.5), Oneonta State (49.5), Gettysburg (32.5), Washington & Lee (24), and Muhlenberg (20).
A total of seven SC wrestlers have reached the semifinal stage. They include freshman Dru Thomas (Howell, N.J.) at 125 pounds, senior Eddie Giron (Bethpage, N.Y.) at 133, sophomore Joe Grippi (Bedford Hills, N.Y.) at 141, junior Ryan McGilvray (Manalapan, N.J.) at 149, senior John Archambeau (Ludlow, Mass.) at 165, sophomore Michael Fish (Middletown, N.J.) at 174, and senior Ron Fusco (Billerica, Mass.) at heavyweight.
The action continues on Saturday at Messiah.

Jason Holder will enter his second season as head wrestling coach in 2012. Holder had a standout first season at the helm of the Pride, leading Springfield to the NEWA Duals Championship and taking three wrestlers to the NCAA Championships.
