



Complete ResultsKingston, R.I. - November 14, 2009 - The Springfield College women's swimming and diving team dropped its first meet of the season as it fell to Division I-foe, the University of Rhode Island, 165.5-131.5, on Saturday afternoon.
Meghan Sisson touched first in the 1000 yard freestyle in a time of 10:58.08 and placed third in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:25.59.
Meredith Trumbull took the top spot in the 400 yard IM touching in at 4:53.99 and tied for second in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 216.502. Teammate Kaitlin Reilly continued her early season success by placing first in the 100 yard butterfly with a 1:01.27 mark. Reilly also took third in the 200 free in 1:59.64.
On the 1-meter board, the Pride swept the event with Meghan Kijanka finishing first with a score of 233.70. Teammates Michelle Reggio and Courtney Keefe rounded out the sweep with scores of 231.52 and 210.45 respectively.
In the 3-meter event, Reggio and Kijanka swapped places with Reggio claiming the top spot with a score of 261.07 while Kijanka finished in second with a 226.80.
The Pride return to the Art Linketter Natatorim on Saturday when it hosts both Keene State and Wheaton at 1:00 pm
