Football's Involvement With "Be The Match" To Be Featured on Channel 3 CT News

Phil Baier and Bryan MacDonald Springfield, Mass. - July 13, 2013 - For the second time this summer, Springfield College football's involvement with the "Be The Match" program will be featured on television as both Bryan MacDonald and Phil Baier will appear Channel 3 Connecticut News on Tuesday, July 23rd.

Over the past two years, Springfield College football has worked tirelessly to help raise awareness for the "Be The Match" program and their national bone marrow registry. In 2012, the Pride held its first "Be The Match" drive, and had nearly 200 students from across campus added to the registry. In fact, Baier proved to be in fact be a match and this past February began the donating process.

This spring, MacDonald once again led the charge for another highly successful "Be The Match" drive, and has since then, continued to think of creative ways to increase awareness. He recently wrote and produced a rap song and music video, which has received several thousand views on YouTube.

In late may, MacDonald was featured on Connecticut's Fox Affiliate, FOX CT, for his efforts. WFSB Channel 3
