



Complete ResultsMIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- September 14, 2008 -- The Springfield College golf team finished 17th out of 22 teams this weekend at the at 2008 Duke Nelson Golf Tournament.
The event was hosted by Middlebury College on the par 71 Ralph Myhre Golf Course . Trailing by eight strokes after day one, Skidmore battled back to capture the win. The Thoroughbred's score (294-299-593) actually rose by five strokes in wet conditions, but day-one leader Trinity (606) shot a 320 after a 286 on the first day of play to finish in a second place tie with NYU (606).
Greg Levings (Averill Park, N.Y.) led the way for Springfield as he tied for 14th overall with a two-round score of 151 (73-78).
Craig DiFranco (East Longmeadow, Mass.) finished tied for 64th with a 161 (79, 82), while teammate Bryan Andersen (Enfield, Conn.) also fired a 161 (77,84) as he tied for 64th as well.
The Pride will next play in the Williams Invitational this upcoming weekend.
Joe Eadie enters his 20th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. He also lead the Pride to their first NCAA Division III Championship in program history. Read more.
