Men's Volleyball Receives NCAA Championship Rings

Springfield, Mass. - November 15, 2012 - The Springfield College men's volleyball team received their championship rings on Wednesday evening in a ceremony held in the home of the President of Springfield College, Dr. Richard Flynn.

On April 29, the Pride swept Carthage College in three sets in Blake Arena to capture Springfield College's first NCAA Division III team title in any sport. In fact, it was Springfield's first NCAA team title since the 1994 men's lacrosse team won a title when it was a Division II program before the Pride shifted to Division III in 1995-96.

Springfield will look to being its title defense when it opens the 2013 campaign in California on January 19.
