



Naperville, Ill. - March 9, 2013 - Sophomore Amanda Martin competed for the first time on the national scene at the NCAA Division III Women's Track and Field Championships in the triple jump on Saturday.The Bristol, Conn. native finished 10th among 15 competitors as she registered a distance of 36-8.25 (11.18m). The sophomore was ranked 13th entering the competition with a qualifying mark of 11.6m.
Jim Pennington enters his 29th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2012-2013. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
