



Springfield, Mass. - May 17, 2010 - Seniors Bryn Worrilow and Michelle Wlosek continued to rack up the postseason accolades as the duo earned a pair of all-region honors. Both were chosen to the 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-New England Region First Team as well as the New England Softball Coaches Association 2010 Division III All Star First Team.The pair was earlier named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All-Conference First Team as well as were ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District selections.
Wlosek, who was selected as the NEWMAC Player of the Year last season, had a stellar senior season behind the plate for the Pride. This season, in addition to setting the program's all-time record for career home runs, the Nutley, N.J. native had an astounding .484 batting average as she tallied 62 hits, including nine doubles and five round-trippers. With a slugging percentage of .672, Wlosek also knocked in 28 runs on the year.
In her final year for the Pride, Worrilow had a career-season as Springfield's everyday rightfielder. The smooth-swinging lefty has a .469 batting average as she has notched 61 hits and registered a team-best 32 RBI. A native of North Babylon, N.Y., she has scored 23 runs this season and was a staple in the outfield, owning a fielding percentage of .968, committing just two errors all year.

Julie Perrelli enters her fourth season at the helm of the Springfield College softball program and as an assistant professor of physical education. In her first three seasons in the dugout for the Pride, Perelli has guided Springfield to two NEWMAC Championship title games. Read more.
