



Complete ResultsDudley, Mass. - September 19, 2012 - The Springfield College men's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision in its first match of the season at Nichols College on Wednesday afternoon at Francis W. Robinson Courts in a non-conference contest.
With the win the Bison improve to 3-0 while Springfield falls to 0-1 in its 2012-13 dual match slate.
Ben Burnap and Kyle Mersereau had the top Springfield showing in doubles, falling 8-4 in the No.1 spot.
In singles play, Burnap fell at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-2 , as did Alex Orban at his No. 4 singles spot.
On Saturday, the Pride will travel to take on Connecticut College.

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his third year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
