Complete ResultsSt. Paul, Minn. - March 21, 2009 - Ericca Castagna finished tied for 10th in the vault on Saturday afternoon in the 25th anniversary of the National Collegiate Gymnastics Championships on Saturday at Hamline University.
For her 10th-place finish, Castagna was honored as an All-American Second Team selection.
For the Championships, Castagna finished with a two-day score of 19.000 as she tallied a 9.450 on the vault in Saturday's competition. Castagna qualified for the individual finals as she placed tied for ninth on the vault on Friday evening with a score of 9.550.
Springfield also had three seniors named Academic All-Americans as Penelope Bohunko, Jenna Williams, and Jacqueline Mazzola were all honored for their excellence in the classroom.
Cheryl Raymond, who will be entering her 34th year as the women's gymnastics coach and assistant professor of physical education at Springfield College in 2013-2014, is one of the top college coaches in the region. Read more.
