Springfield opened up the meet with a 9-2 win at 197 by Hunter Ayen (Gouverneur, N.Y.). After dropping a decision at 285 and neither team having a wrestler for 125, the Pride strung together five-straight victories to seize control of the match.
Tyler Keane (Glastonbury, Conn.) posted a major decision (12-3) at 133, followed by Jacob Strohman's (East Longmeadow, Mass.) pin in 3:55 at 141.
Zach Joseph (Clifton Park, N.Y.) wrestling at 149 and Devin Biscaha (Jackson, N.J.) at 157 each won by technical fall, followed by Foley's win at 165.
After Norwich won by major decision at 174, Michael Case (Cedar Run, N.J.) ended the day for Springfield with an 11-1 major decision win at 184.
Springfield will next compete in the NEWA Duals this Sunday at Bridgewater State. The Pride is the two-time defending champion of the event.
