“We are so excited to have Erica on board and that The College has made the commitment to hire it's first-ever athletics recruiting/retention coordinator,” said Springfield College Director of Athletics, Dr. Cathie Schweitzer. “We feel that Erica’s personality and previous experience as both head coach and admissions counselor will be a dynamic influence in helping us continue to recruit top-notch student-athletes to Springfield College.”
Hollot comes to Springfield College after a successful three-plus year stint as the women’s tennis head coach at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). During her time at the helm of the Engineers, Hollot guided the program to its first ITA regional ranking and its best overall record.
Prior to that, she also spent two years as an admissions counselor at Elms College, where she helped organize on-campus admissions events, interviewed and evaluated applicants, and recruited prospective students.
"I am thrilled to join the Springfield College community and serve as the Athletics Retention/Recruiting Coordinator,” said Hollot. “I want to thank Dr. Schweitzer and Mrs. DeAngelo for this amazing opportunity, and look forward to working with the Departments of Athletics and Undergraduate Admissions in continuing to recruit and retain excellent student-athletes."
A native of Easthampton, Mass., Hollot earned a Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude in Human Development and French from Boston College in 2005 before going on to earn a Master of Science in the Department of Exercise and Sport Studies from Smith College in 2009.
