Head Coach Steffen Siebert

Steffen Siebert became just the ninth head men’s soccer coach at Springfield College since 1906, and only the sixth since the 1909 season, when he was appointed in March of 2012.

Siebert has also been named to a faculty position as an assistant professor in the College’s School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation.

Siebert has been a Teaching Fellow in SC’s Department of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation /PE from August of 2009 until the present. He has also been an Adjunct Professor in the College’s Psychology Department since January of 2011 until the present.

In addition, Steffen has been the associate head coach of the Springfield College men’s soccer program under Peter Haley since August of 2009. Siebert has assisted in all aspects of the head coaching responsibilities on and off the field, as well as during and after the fall seasons.

Since his arrival on campus in 2009, Siebert has been instrumental in changing the culture of the Springfield College men's soccer program. In the two seasons he acted as associate head coach, the Pride owned a record of 22-13-5 and reached the NCAA Division III Championship for just the second time in program history. In fact, it marked the first time since 1989-1990 that Springfield had consecutive years with double-digit victories.

Siebert has been the head coach of two local clubs in the past few years. He was the head coach of the Sportsworld Premiere Soccer Club in East Windsor, Conn. from September of 2009 to October of 2010. He was then the head coach of the U17 Men’s Premiere Soccer Club in Easthampton, Mass. from October of 2010 to the present.

In addition, Siebert also holds U.S. Soccer A, B, C, and D licenses, and holds several certifications and diplomas from the NSCAA.

Siebert holds bachelor of science degrees in psychology and exercise science from Missouri Valley College in Marshall, Mo. which he received in May, 2009. He also received his master’s of education degree in psychology from Springfield College in December of 2010.

Assistant Coach Evan Luster

Evan Luster is currently in his third season as an assistant coach with the Pride. Originally from Newington, Conn., Luster holds an NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma. Luster completed his Bachelor's Degree in American Studies and graduated with a certification in Elementary Education from Franklin Pierce University. While at Franklin Pierce, Luster was named to the NE-10 All-Conference Team and was a member of the team that advanced to the 2005 Division II National Championship Final. Since 2007 Luster has worked at Ajax Premier, in Connecticut, as the head coach of the U14 and U18 boys teams. Luster is currently working toward a Masters in Business Administration.

Assistant Coach Ronan O'Rourke

Ronan O'Rourke E-Mail Coach O'Rourke
Ronan O'Rourke is currently in his second season on the sidelines with the Pride as an assistant coach. Originally from Ireland, O'Rourke grew up playing club soccer in Brussels, Belgium and holds Coaching and Psychology for Soccer Certificates from the English Football Association. O' Rourke completed his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Studies/Advanced French at the University of Hertfordshire in England and played club soccer at West Virginia University while studying abroad. He has also completed his Master's Degree in Athletic Counseling and is currently working on his Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study.

Greg Margolis joined the men's soccer staff as an assistant coach in the fall of 2012.
