Hampden, Mass. -- October 1, 2011 -- Day One of the ECAC Division III Men's Golf Championships were postponed today at the Hampden Golf Club. It will now be made into a one-day 18-hole event, with 16 teams teeing off, starting at 12:30 pm Sunday. Teams competing in the first wave include Elms, Husson, Salem State, and host Springfield. The second wave includes Endicott, MCLA, Westfield State, and Western New England.
The third wave includes Johnson & Wales, UMass Dartmouth, Nichols, and Wentworth. The last group includes Castleton State, SUNY-Purchase, Russell Sage, and Suffolk.
Joe Eadie enters his 20th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. He also lead the Pride to their first NCAA Division III Championship in program history. Read more.
