



Hartford, Conn. - February 4, 2012 - The Springfield College wrestling team split a pair of matches against regional rivals at Trinity College on Saturday afternoon. The No. 10-ranked Springfield College Pride fell to No. 23-ranked Johnson and Wales University, 21-17, before toppling Trinity 32-9 later on in the afternoon.Trinity drops to 4-12 this season, while Johnson and Wales improves to 15-4 on the season and Springfield moves to 13-3 overall.
Junior Nicholas Camera, wrestling in the 184 weight class for Springfield, recorded two wins on the day, while Joe Grippi picked up a win and a forfeit for the Pride.
*All matches started with 149-weight class and ended with 141-weight class.

Jason Holder will enter his third season as head wrestling coach in 2013. Holder had a standout first season at the helm of the Pride, leading Springfield to the NEWA Duals Championship and taking three wrestlers to the NCAA Championships.
