Women's Diving Concludes Weekend At TCNJ Diving Invitational

- The Springfield College women's diving team competed in day two of the TCNJ Invitational in Ewing, N.J. Michelle Reggio
continued her early season dominance for the Pride, tallying a pair of NCAA qualifying scores on Saturday.
The day was highlighted by Reggio, a senior, as she picked up two more NCAA qualifying marks. Reggio scored 449.85 points to qualify in the 11-dive three-meter, and 264.15 points to qualify in the six-dive three-meter. Both scores were also good enough for first-place finishes for both events on the day.
Senior Meghan Kijanka also had a fine day on the boards. Kijanka collected 405.6 points to finish third in the 11-dive three-meter, and 243.15 points to finish second in the six-dive three-meter. Also competing for the Pride was freshman Paige Rhodes who tallied 385.6 points in the 11-dive three-meter to finish in fourth-place, and 232.55 points in the six-dive three-meter to finish fourth.
The Pride will return to action on Saturday, January 9, 2010 when they square-off against both Hartwick and Union in a tri-meet in hosted by Hartwick in Oneonta, N.Y.

Diving Coach Peter Avdoulos
