Versprille becomes the first Springfield College women's lacrosse player to earn All-Region First Team honors since Holly Carmody '06 and Christine Nichol '06 were selected in 2006.
Earlier this season, the Physical Education major was named the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Year. She posted an 8.20 goals against average this season, the best in the NEWMAC and 30th in the country. In addition, she tallied 124 saves on the year and a save percentage of 48.5%, the second-best among conference goal keepers and 32nd nationally. Thanks to her efforts, the Pride are currently 20th in the nation in scoring defense, allowing just 7.75 goals per game this year.
Of the 16 student-athletes on the Berkshire All-Region First Team, Versprille was one of two from the NEWMAC.
