Men's Cross Country Volunteers With Ludlow Boys and Girls Club
Springfield, Mass. - October 26, 2012
- The Springfield College men’s cross country team provided some motivation for the young runners at the Ludlow Boys and Girls Club on Saturday, October 20th.
The men came to help pace the 22 3rd through 8th grade runners that participate in a program called “Fun Ways to Run”. The youth runners compete three times a year on a 1.5 mile course in the trails behind the Ludlow Boys and Girls Club.
Members of SC men’s team ran alongside each participant to help them attempt to set a personal record in their last race of the season. With the Prides' help, 15 out of the 22 runners accomplished that feat.
