Curtis Places Fourth in Pentathlon At All New England Championships

finished fourth in the pentathlon at the All New England Championships on Friday afternoon as she posted a total of 3,286 points. Her performance today now moves her up to third in the NCAA Division III rankings this season.
Curtis, who was crowned the New England Division III Pentathlon champion last weekend, had another strong showing today at the meet hosted by Boston University.
She ran a 9.4 in the 60 meter hurdles and posted a height of 5-1 3/4 in the high jump. She registered a distance of 36-5 3/4 in the shot put and a mark of 16-10.5 in the long jump. Curtis concluded her events as she crossed the finish line of the 800 meters in 2:41.21

Jim Pennington enters his 30th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2013-2014. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
