Women's Track & Field Competes At All-New England Championship
Boston, Mass. - March 1, 2014 -
Springfield College's Gabriella Gaudreault (Leominster, Mass.)
led the women's track & field team at the All-New England Championship, a meet consisting of teams from Division I, II, and III.
On Friday, Gaudreault won the 800 meter preliminaries, a field of 31 runners with a time of 2:10.09. In the finals on Saturday, the senior's time was good for second place. UMass Amherst's Heather MacLean won the event with a time of 2:09.42.
In the 500 meter run, Sam Pomroy (Lebanon, Maine) placed 17th overall with a time of 1:19.25.
The Pride's 4x400 relay team of Gaudreault, Pomroy, Colleen Rice (Queensbury, N.Y.) and Kimeisha Winkle (Springfield, Mass.) placed 21st overall with a combined time of 4:01.11.

Jim Pennington enters his 30th season as head coach of the Springfield College women’s cross country and track and field teams in 2013-2014. Under Pennington’s direction, the Pride has recorded seven top 20 finishes at the NCAA Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Championships, and seven top 15 finishes at the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
