Complete ResultsNew London, Conn. - April 9, 2011 - The Springfield College men's tennis team lost on the road at the Coast Guard Academy by the score of 9-0 in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action on Saturday afternoon.
The loss drops Springfield to 3-3, 0-2 in league action.
Eric Henne had Springfield's closet match of the day as he lost at No. 4 singles, 6-4, 7-5.
Springfield will return to play on Tuesday afternoon when it travels to take on Holy Cross in non-conference play.
Toby Coffin G’01, enters his second year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
