Women's Swimming Competes at Middlebury Invitational
Middlebury, Vt. - February 1, 2014 - After two days of competition for the Springfield College women’s swimming team at the Middlebury Invitational hosted at Middlebury College, the Pride received a handful of top-three finishes.
In the 1,650 freestyle, Ashleigh Monroe (Southbury, Conn.), Jenna Callahan (Shelton, Conn.), and Natalie Waechter (Ventura ,Calif.), all placed within the top five. Monroe finished second with a time of 18:16.95, Callahan finished third with a time of 18:22.79 and Waechter finished fourth with a time of 18:29.31.
Callie Phillips (East Longmeadow, Mass.) outlasted Caitlin Carrol and Alexander Edel of Middlebury to place second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:42.83 and Christina Legsdin (Westminster, Mass.) finished third in the 100-yard backstroke after touching in 1:00.99.

Diving Coach Peter Avdoulos
Peter Avdoulos is regarded as one of the top diving coaches in the nation, and is entering his 29th season as the diving coach for both the men's and women's programs in 2013-2014.
