NCAA BOUND - Men's Lacrosse Will Travel To Cabrini For Opening Round Game



Springfield, Mass. - May 5, 2013 - The Springfield College men's lacrosse team will travel to square off with Cabrini in the NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship First Round on Wednesday, May 8.

The Pride, which won its sixth-straight Pilgrim Lacrosse League Championship on Saturday, owns a 10-7 record and has captured nine of its last 10 games.

The winner of the Springfield/Cabrini game will advance and travel to take on RIT on Saturday, May 11. Cabrini is located in Radnor, Pennsylvania, approximately 250 miles from Springfield.

This marks the first ever meeting between the two schools. Cabrini earned its 13th-straight Colonial States Athletic Conference with a 24-3 win over Centenary College.

The two schools have just one common opponent this year, with both squads playing Union. The Cavaliers prevailed, 12-8, on March 24th, while Springfield dropped a 7-4 decision to the Dutchmen on March 16.
