Men’s Cross Country Places Fourth At Smith
Northampton, Mass., Sept. 10, 2005 – Springfield College junior
Ryan Palmison (Plymouth, N.H.) ran to a twelfth-place finish as the Pride took fourth in the Smith College Invitational this afternoon (Sep. 10) in Northampton, Mass.
Palmison completed the five-mile course in 28:30.10 as Pride sophomore
Joe Norton (Framingham, Mass.) ran to a 23rd-place finish in 29:00.90. Norton was followed by junior
Nate Macmahan (Millis, Mass.) in 40th place (29:25.50), freshman
Eric Nacsin (E. Longmeadow, Mass.) 42nd (29:49.20), and sophomore
Jeff Bartlett (W. Newbury, Mass.) rounded out the top five in 43rd place with a time of 29:51.00.
SC took fourth in the seven-team field with a score of 121 points. MIT won the meet with 22 points, followed by RPI (40) and WPI (91).
The Pride will next travel to UMass-Dartmouth on Saturday, September 17 for the Shiners Invitational.

Bryan Brown will enter his second season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2012. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, led Springfield to a second-place finish at the NEWMAC Championships a year ago .
