Sarah Brooker (Auburn, Maine) scored two goals and added an assist as the Pride defeated Smith College, 6-1, in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference field hockey match this afternoon.
SC ( 14-3, 6-0) senior
Lydia Grant (Granby, Conn.) tallied the first goal of the match just 10 minutes into the contest. A goal by freshman
Brittany Veazie (Dexter, Maine) of a feed from Brooker put the Pride up, 2-0. The Pioneers lone goal came with two minutes left in the first half as Allison Hindman-Harvey found the back of the cage.
The Pride poured on the offense in the second half with four goals. Brooker notched her two goals, as did classmate
Amber Paradee (Sheldon, Vt.) to finish off the scoring.
Senior
Lindsey Pardue (Houston, Texas) stopped eight shots for the Pride, who remain undefeated in the NEWMAC this year heading into the final week of the regular season.
SC returns to action on Saturday when it takes on MIT at 1:00 pm on Benedum Field for a conference battle.
