



Complete ResultsMyrtle Beach, S.C. - March 17, 2009 - The Springfield College golf team competed in the Myrtle Beach Shootout on Tuesday afternoon and finished sixth out of seven teams in the event.
The Shootout was played at the Par 71, 6,552 year Sea Trail - Maples Course in Sunset Beach, N.C.
Potomac State finished first with a team total of 309 (+25), while McDaniel took second with a 311 (+27). NYU (314, +30), St. Peter's (319, +35), and Hobart (329, +45) all finished in front of Springfield's mark of 343 (+59). Utica rounded out the teams with a 390 (+106).
Michael LaJoie had the lowest score for the Pride as she shot an 83 on the day to tie for 22nd. NECC Golfer of the Year Greg Levings finished tied for 26th with an 84, while Craig DiFranco finished with an 86. Kyle Hicks totaled a 90, while Junior Balogun shot a 97. Teammates Jared Slingerland (85) and Cody Morrison (101) also competed for the Pride as well.
Joe Eadie enters his 20th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. He also lead the Pride to their first NCAA Division III Championship in program history. Read more.
