



Complete ResultsGorham, Maine - February 16, 2013 - The Springfield College men's track and field team competed in the New England Division III Championships on Saturday at Bates College, finishing 20th among the squads competing.
MIT won the competition with 118.5 points, following by Bates (94) and Tufts (92).
John Dayton provided the Pride with its best finish of the weekend, taking third in the weight throw, as he produced a heave of 59-01.25.
Springfield's other points came from Sam Baker, who tied for fourth in the high jump with a leap of 6-02.00.
Both student-athletes earned Division III All-New England honors for their efforts.
The Pride is back in action next weekend at the All New England Championships in Boston.

Ken Klatka, just inducted into the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame in October, 2011, enters his 37th season as head coach of the men’s track and field program in 2012-2013. He ranks among the nation’s most successful coaches, with an overall record of 442 wins, 144 losses, and two ties for an impressive .753 winning percentage. Under his direction, Kevin Coyle '12 won the 2011 Division III Indoor Long Jump National Championship.
