



Complete ResultsSaratoga Springs, N.Y.- September 15, 2009 - The Springfield College golf team opened up the 2009 season competing at the Tim Brown Invitational, hosted by Skidmore College. The Pride finished the competition in 11th place with 651 strokes over a two-day period.
Host Skidmore won the event with a two-day total of 576, shooting even par for the Invitational. Playing at the Par 72, 6,750 yard Saratoga Spa State Park Course, Springfield finished 11th out of 12 teams.
Leading the way for Springfield was Craig DiFranco, who finished tied for 44th with a 161 (+17), and Jared Slingerland, who shot a 163 (+19), en route to tying for 47th place.
Rounding out the Pride's competitors over the weekend was Serriff Balogun, who tied for 50th with a 164, Ryne McEvoy (t-54th with a 167), and Pat Marra (58th with a 171).
Joe Eadie enters his 19th season as the head men's golf coach at Springfield College in the fall of 2012. Eadie is the head golf professional at the Fenway Golf Range in nearby East Longmeadow, and is in the process of becoming a PGA Professional. Read more.
