Peacock, a sophomore from Tucker, Ga., scored a total of 13 points in the victory over the Cardinals. He booted seven extra points in seven attempts. He also kicked two field goals, both in the last 5:33 of the game, which proved to be the final margin of victory.
With 5:33 left, he kicked a 41-yard field goal. Then with 1:25 left, he booted home a 29-yard field goal, which, at the time, gave the Pride a 13-point lead.
Springfield has been honored eight times this year with an Empire 8 Player of the Week award -- five times defensively, and three times for special teams. The players of the week include ILB Ken Goodwin (Foxboro, Mass.) three times on defense, DT Chris Kulcsar (Haworth, N.J.) once on defense, SS Matt Ramos (Milford, Conn.) once on defense, Peacock twice on special teams, and HB Mark Safer (St. Johns, Fla.) once on special teams.
Springfield, now 7-2 overall and 3-2 in the Empire 8, will host Union College on Saturday at Stagg Field at 1:30 pm.
