



Newport, R.I. -- April 3, 2011 -- Kristi Maltz won a marathon match at No. 5 singles to lead the Springfield College women's tennis team to a 5-4 victory over Salve Regina Sunday. Maltz saved two match points and ultimately produced the clinching match win.With the win, Springfield is now 5-8 over the course of its fall and spring seasons. Salve Regina is now 10-5 overall.

Toby Coffin G’01, enters his second year as the head men’s and women’s tennis coach at Springfield College. Coffin, who has coached at numerous high schools in the area, will look to build a program which will contend for a conference crown.
