



Complete ResultsUniversity Park, Pa. - February 24, 2013 - The Springfield College men's gymnastics team was defeated by the nation's top-ranked team, Penn State, on Saturday evening by the score of 446.850-403.300.
Ryan Ponce had Springfield's best individual finish of the evening, taking second in the rings after registering a 15.750.
Jimmy Pezzino posted a 14.600 to place fourth on the vault, while teammate Chris Jost finished right behind him in fifth with a 14.550. On the floor exercise, both Pezzino and Jost scored Springfield's highest mark with a 14.000. Tucker McClure was fifth on the high bar (13.650), while Pat Ryther finished sixth on the pommel horse after recording a 13.800. Additionally, Sam Docherty tallied a 13.550 in the parallel bars to take seventh.
Springfield will compete again on Sunday in a dual meet in Blake Arena with William and Mary.
