Men's Track & Field Runs To Second In Quad Meet

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., March 29, 2003 -- Springfield College senior
Adam Hughes (Bridgewater, Conn.) won two events as the Pride placed second in a four-team field on Saturday at Blake Track.
RPI (253 points) won the meet, followed by SC (246), Westfield (101) and Plattsburgh (47).
Hughes won in the 110-meters hurdles (15.63) and the 400-meter hurdles (55.01). Sophomore
Jason Jackson (Phippsburg, Maine) also won two events, winning the 100 meters (11.33) and 200 meters (22.71).
SC All-American
Blake Gulino (Old Saybrook, Conn.) finished first in the long jump (22 feet, 5 inches).

He ranks among the nation’s most successful coaches, with an overall record of 442 wins, 144 losses, and two ties for an impressive .753 winning percentage. Under his direction, Kevin Coyle '12 won the 2011 Division III Indoor Long Jump National Championship.
