Men's Track & Field Runs To Second In Quad Meet

SPRINGFIELD, Mass., March 29, 2003 -- Springfield College senior Adam Hughes (Bridgewater, Conn.) won two events as the Pride placed second in a four-team field on Saturday at Blake Track.

RPI (253 points) won the meet, followed by SC (246), Westfield (101) and Plattsburgh (47).

Hughes won in the 110-meters hurdles (15.63) and the 400-meter hurdles (55.01). Sophomore Jason Jackson (Phippsburg, Maine) also won two events, winning the 100 meters (11.33) and 200 meters (22.71).

SC All-American Blake Gulino (Old Saybrook, Conn.) finished first in the long jump (22 feet, 5 inches).
