Men's Track and Field Competes at Tufts Cupid Challenge

Brandon Hammerstrom Complete Results

Medford, Mass. - February 11, 2013 - A handful of student-athletes from the Springfield College men's track and field team competed in the Tufts Cupid Challenge, a non-scoring meet, on Monday.

Springfield's top individual finish came from Brandon Hammerstrom in the shot, as the first-year posted a mark of 42-09.75 to take third. In the weight throw, Andrew Peters finished fourth after registering a heave of 50-10.00.

Adam Swartout took eighth in the 60 meters with a time of 7.43, while teammate Alex Harrington was sixth in the 600 after crossing in 1:26.94.

In addition, both Sam Baker and William Ferguson reached a height of 6-00 in the high jump.
