Dobson Earns NEWMAC and ECAC Weekly Lacrosse Honors

Dobson Earns NEWMAC and ECAC Weekly Lacrosse Honors Springfield, Mass. - April 4, 2011 - Senior Meagan Dobson was honored as the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week and the ECAC Division III New England Co-Offensive Player of the Week after leading the Pride to a pair of wins last week.

The Longmeadow, Mass. native was brilliant on Saturday as she powered Springfield to a win over Babson, which marked the time the Beavers had lost a regular season game to a conference opponent since 2006.

In two contests, Dobson led Springfield with 13 points on seven goals and six assists, including a game-winning strike. In the Pride's 15-9 win over Plymouth State, the senior registered three goals and two assists. On Saturday, Dobson put in a spectacular performance, recording four goals and four assists, including the game-winner in triple overtime to lead the Pride over Babson.
