



As a team, the men finished 19 of 37 teams that competed in the Championships with 579 points. The host, Williams College, bested the competition with 45 points.
The top performer of the meet for Springfield was freshman Kyle Moriarty (North Kingston, R.I.), who finished 64th for the men with a time of 28:09.
Others who competed for the men included freshman Jacob Brewer (Woolwich, Maine) (28:56), sophomore Joseph Locascio (Hebron, Conn.) (29:50), senior Joe Norton (Framingham, Mass.) (30:02), sophomore Chris Van Amburgh (Fitchburg, Mass.) (30:04), freshman Andrew Mulvey (Merrimack, N.H.) (30:17), and freshman Matthew Geanacopoulos (Ludlow, Mass.) (30:52).
The next meet for the men is Saturday, November 10th, where they will compete in the NCAA Division III Regionals at Harkness Park in Waterford, Conn.
Bryan Brown will enter his third season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2013. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, is the reigning NEWMAC Coach of the Year after leading Springfield to its second-straight second-place finish at the conference championships a year ago .
