Women's Cross Country Finishes 15th at ECAC Championships

Gabby Gaudreault Complete Results

Williamstown, Mass. - November 3, 2012 - Gabby Gaudreault finished fifth overall with a time of 23:21.91 to lead the Springfield College women's cross country team to a 15th-place finish at the ECAC Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday.

Springfield finished the afternoon in 15th place out of 42 teams racing in the 6k event as it totaled 389 points. Middlebury was crowned the champion as all five of their runners placed in the top 10 to post 31 points.

Behind Gaudreault, Sarah Knop was the next finisher for Springfield, crossing in 25:14.41 which was good enough for 74th place. Right behind her was teammate Morgan Mrak, who ran a time of 25:17.42 to place 80th.

Nora Letendre placed 113th in 26:04.69, while Samantha Pomory posted a time of 26:25.92 to round out the Pride's runners.

The Pride will run again this upcoming Saturday when it competes in the NCAA Division III New England Regional Championships in Westfield, Mass.
