Gallo and Murray Selected for 2013 Front Rush/NFHCA Division III Senior Game

MK Murray and Kelly Gallo Springfield, Mass. – October 31, 2013 - Kelly Gallo (Westfield, Mass.) and MK Murray (Killingworth, Conn.) will be representing the Springfield College field hockey team at the 2013 Front Rush/NFHCA Division III Senior Game in November.

The two seniors were selected by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association to play in the all-star game that will be held on Saturday, November 23rd at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex in Virginia Beach. The game will begin at 4:00 p.m.

Gallo and Murray were among 60 D-III student-athletes around the country to be chosen to play in the game. Just six players from the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) received the honor. The Pride is one of just four teams in New England with two players selected for the honor.

Gallo leads the Pride in scoring this season with eight goals. Murray is tied for a team-high seven assists this season. She also leads all defenders with five goals.

Springfield will close out the regular season on Saturday, traveling to WPI for a noon start.
