



Complete ResultsCumberland, Maine – November 14, 2009 - Junior Brian Fuller qualified to run in the upcoming NCAA Championships as he finished eighth at the 2009 NCAA Division III Cross Country New England Regional Qualifier at Twin Brooks on Saturday afternoon.
Fuller finished the 8k race in 25:33.5 as he was the lone member of the Springfield squad to qualify for the national race. The race will take place on Saturday, November 21st at the Highland Hills Golf Course in Highland Hills, Ohio. The race will be hosted by Baldwin-Wallace College.
As a team, Springfield finished in 13th place with an overall team score of 425. Williams won by race with 53 points as Edgar Kosgey from the Ephs was the individual winner with a time of 25:16.2.
Zach Pietras was the next fastest runner for Springfield as he ran the course in a time of 27:10.6 to finish in 85th place. Anthony Salvucci crossed the finish line in 27:24.8 to take 102nd place, while Jacob Brewer was right behind him in 112th place with a time of 27:30.3. Rounding out the top five runners for the Pride was Troy French, who finished 118th in 27:35.6 . Also running on the day for the Pride was Stephen Creamer (119th, 27:36.0), and David Birdsall (129th, 27:50.4).
Bryan Brown will enter his second season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2012. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, led Springfield to a second-place finish at the NEWMAC Championships a year ago .
