SPRINGFIELD, Mass., February 8, 2003 – Springfield College freshman
Dan Moran (Wilbraham, Mass.) led the Pride with first-place finishes in the 200-yard individual medley (2:02.21), the 100-yard butterfly (54.72), and the 500-yard freestyle (4:59.82) as the Pride downed Babson College, 140-102, on Saturday at the Art Linkletter Natatorium.

Mike Shaw (Westfield, Mass.) placed first on the one-meter board with a score of 302.25. On the three-meter board, senior
Dan Bartholomew (Willits, Calif.) finished first (295.80) followed by Shaw (293.93).
SC senior
Craig Dolan (Edison, N.J.) won in the 100-yard freestyle (48.31) and in the 100-yard breast stroke (1:02.72). Sophomore
Tim Ryan (Hatboro, Pa.) recorded a first-place finish in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:27.21.
For Babson (8-5), senior Rich Chute won in the 200-yard freestyle (1:47.31).
The Pride (4-5) competes in the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship at MIT on Feb. 28 through March 1.
