Pardue Named NEWMAC Field Hockey Player Of The Week
, Oct. 13, 2003 – Springfield College junior keeper Lindsay Pardue (Houston, Texas)
is the New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Player of the Week in field hockey, announced today.
Pardue led the 20th-ranked Pride (9-5, 4-0 NEWMAC) to a 2-1 week that included a pair of conference victories. She registered her third shutout of the season in a 4-0 win over WPI on Tuesday (Oct. 7). Pardue then made 18 saves in a 1-0 loss to Connecticut College on Thursday (Oct. 9). She finished the week with seven saves in a 2-1 overtime conference victory over Wheaton on Saturday (Oct. 11).
SC, which has won six of its last eight matches, hosts Mount Holyoke on Tuesday, Oct. 14 and plays at Wellesley (3-0 in the conference) on Saturday, Oct 18.
