



Complete ResultsBoston, Mass. - October 10, 2009 - Led by Brian Fuller, the Springfield College men's cross country team finished 30th at the New England Championships on Saturday afternoon at Franklin Park.
The race, which included the top teams from all throughout New England, regardless of Division, was won by UMass-Lowell.
Fuller was tremendous for the Pride as he finished 39th of 320 runners in a time of 25:35. Three members of Springfield's team crossed the finish line in a bunch as Troy French finished in 164th in 26:44, David Birdsall placed 165th in 26:44, and Zach Pietras finished 169th in a time of 26:47. The Pride's fifth runner, Stephen Creamer crossed the finish line in 230th as he ran a time of 27:27.
Bryan Brown will enter his third season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2013. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, is the reigning NEWMAC Coach of the Year after leading Springfield to its second-straight second-place finish at the conference championships a year ago .
