Springfield, Mass. -- November 5, 2010 -- A total of four Springfield College men's cross country runners today were named Academic All-Conference by the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference.Honorees must have met the following criteria: earned a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, achieved second year academic status at his institution, and been a member of the varsity team for the entire season.
Those named were senior Stephen Creamer (Seekonk, Mass.), senior Brian Fuller (Ludlow, Mass.), junior Russell Johnson (Hookset, N.H.), and junior Christopher Malia (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.).
Bryan Brown will enter his second season as the head men's cross country coach in the fall of 2012. Brown, who was a former All-American at Springfield College in track, led Springfield to a second-place finish at the NEWMAC Championships a year ago .
