No. 14 Williams College Upends Field Hockey, 5-0
SPRINGFIELD, Mass., Oct. 23, 2003 – Springfield College senior goalkeeper
Betsi Anderson (Wayland, Mass.) made 14 saves but it wasn’t enough as No. 14 Williams College downed the Pride, 5-0, this evening in a non-conference match at Benedum Field.
Williams College sophomore back
Jocelyn Gregory (Greenwich, Conn.), who scored three goals on the night, netted the game-winner with 13:01 remaining in the first half. Gregory added two goals in the last minute of the game to complete the hat trick.
The Ephs also received goals from freshman forward
Cathleen Clark (Plymouth, N.H.) and senior forward
Tori Scott (Cambridge, Mass.).
The Pride play next on Saturday when they host Clark in a key New England Women’s and Men’s Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) match on Benedum Field at 10:30 on Homecoming Weekend.
