



Centerville, Mass. - March 11, 2013 - Senior guard Alex Berthiaume was recently named to the ECAC Division III New Englad All-Star Second Team after a standout final season for the Springfield College men's basketball team.The Springfield, Mass. native was one of 11 players from the region to earn the honor as he was selected to the second team.
Berthiaume led the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) in scoring this season at 18.1 points per game. Shooting nearly 43% from the field for the season, he scored at least 20 points in 13 games this season, including a career-best 35 points in the NCAA Championship First Round. He was second on the team with 66 assists and third in steals with 43.
He finished his two-year career at Springfield scoring 1,008 points, becoming the 28th player in the program's illustrious history to reach the milestone.

Charlie Brock in 2013-14 will enter his 16th season as the head coach at Springfield College and his 34th season as a head coach overall. Brock’s achievements as a coach are certainly impressive. He has taken three schools to the NCAA Division III Tournament and has an overall, 32-year record of 440-397. Read more.
