The Poughkeepsie, N.Y. product led her team to a 5-3 overall record, including a 4-0 mark against NEWMAC competition. She went 13-for-26 at the plate, including four doubles and two home runs. Her slugging percentage was a robust .885. In an 8-0 five-inning victory over 16th-ranked Western Connecticut State, Kelly had four RBI's.
A native of Nashua, N.H., Ux had a great showing in a tri-meet at Middlebury College on Saturday. As a team, SC finished third with 117.16 points, placing behind Bowdoin and Middlebury. Ux wound up winning the javelin throw with a toss of 202-feet even or 61.58 meters. He finished more than 26 feet better than his nearest competitor. His distance ranks him second in New England and 12th nationally.
In a tri-meet against Middlebury and Bowdoin, in which Springfield finished third with 109 points, Davis, a native of Hartford, Conn., had an outstanding meet. She won both the 100-meter dash in 12.68 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 26.24 seconds. She also contributed to the 4x400 relay team's winning in 4:07.65, winning by more than seven seconds.
