Springfield College Super Bowl Representation
Super Bowl Connection
For the fifth time in the last six years, Springfield College will have a presence and connection to the Super Bowl.
This year, the Springfield College connection is Dave Gettleman -- now in his 24th year in the NFL and 14th year with the New York Giants, and his 13th as the Giants' Director of Pro Personnel. This year's game will be played in Indianapolis.
This will be Gettleman's sixth Super Bowl. He was part of two winning Super Bowls -- with the Denver Broncos in 1997 and the Giants in 2007.
Born in Boston, Gettleman owns a bachelor's degree from Springfield College in 1972. He played on the Springfield College freshman football team as an offensive tackle.
