



BOSTON, Mass. - February 9, 2008 – The Springfield College men's indoor track and field team competed in the Valentines Invitational over the weekend hosted by Boston University. The meet was comprised of schools from all three divisions as well as professional athletes.
Steve Headley finished ninth out of field of 119 in the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.51. Mike Miller placed 21st in the high jump with a mark of 6-00.00.
The other top finisher in the meet for Springfield was Dom Uguccioni, who placed ninth in the weight throw with a toss of 54-08.25.
The Pride returns to action on Saturday when it travels back to Boston to take on MIT and Boston University.

Ken Klatka, just inducted into the Springfield College Athletic Hall of Fame in October, 2011, enters his 37th season as head coach of the men’s track and field program in 2012-2013. He ranks among the nation’s most successful coaches, with an overall record of 442 wins, 144 losses, and two ties for an impressive .753 winning percentage. Under his direction, Kevin Coyle '12 won the 2011 Division III Indoor Long Jump National Championship.
